Hi, Paul, I'm just stupid, is all! I have an Electro G, with the 1.7. It does indeed have a dof scale. I've just never noticed it, is all (he says with a red face). I ~may~ have been thinking of my other rangefinder, the little Minolta HiMatic F, which has a completely automatic shutter, and no aperture to speak of. Actually, the f-stop is set by the shutter itself widening to the apropriate stop. So the shutter serves as both shutter and aperture, and you can't set the f-stop, hence not dof scale.
That's my excuse, and I'm sticking to it! (he says, face still red). <g> Thanks for setting me straight, frank "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" wrote: > Frank, > You must have one of the f/2.8 Electros; most lack the DOF scale.
