Hi,

I am new to the list and I also have the same problem with the same lens. I
have had mine on a ZX-5n body for almost four years with no trouble
whatsoever and then all of a sudden it becomes a soft focus model. I
recently had a local camera repairman look at it and he did not think it was
caused by a fungus, but was not quite sure what had caused it. I am going
to send the lens and my ZX-5n to Pentax in Colorado in a few months for a
CLA. At that time I hope to find out what caused the condition and if it
can it be "cleaned". BTW, I have dozens of other Pentax lenses and none of
them have developed this problem. I have shown the lens to several other
photog friends and they are equally at a loss to explain what has happened.
