For the last several years I've been getting great digital prints from my slides that are better than any comercial prints from slides I've ever gotten. Here's how I do it. From every roll of slides I get processed I cull out the keepers and when I have 25 or more I take them to a local professional processor who then scans them - Kodak Photo CD - (5 different resolution levels each) and puts the scans on a CD, don't bother with Kodak Picture CD unless all you want is to post them to the web (low resolution not suitable for great prints. These scans cost from $1.5 to $2.0 each. I then open them with Photoshop 5.0 and print them on a 5 year old Epson Stylus Photo printer. A 4" X 6" print on photo quality paper, that feels like conventional wet printing paper, costs about $0.30 each. Ken Waller
