I can tell you my experience about this lens: I wrote a message to the list some months ago, then I said the filters where not necessary for infinite focus, and this is what it seems to me after some months using this lens. BUT, they are needed to correct some colour fringing at the edges of the image, or better said, if you don't use a filter, for example the clear UV one, you will see such colour fringing at the corners of the negatives or slides, this is gone when you fit the filters. So it seems that the filter is an important part in the optical dormula of the lens. Then, I can't use the lens in the "small" Pentaxes I have (MZ-S, MZ-5 and MX) because it interferes with the movement of the mirror when it swings back to its start position, as Chris said. It doesn't happen with my Z-1 or SFX bodies. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Carlos Royo [EMAIL PROTECTED] Zaragoza (Aragon) - Spain ------------------------------------------------------------------ - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
