Those little ball bearings a very easy to use.  Pentax in Colorado is
currently out with more do in 30 to 40 days.  I checked today.

I had two A50/1.7 and both had poor aperture rings. Clean and relubrication
didn't work. I believe it was a design flaw associated with some plastic F
and A lenses (plastic-to-plastic surface).
