I got upgraded from Win95 to Win2k just a couple of months before I left Harris so I can tell you how things may work. First of all, expect a *big* hit on speed :( Stability and reliability improved. All Microsoft Office apps will work fine. I expect your DOS aaps will be OK as well but there's no way to be sure without trying it out. Microsoft tried to make Win2k a lot more DOS-friendly than earlier versions of NT and according to my co-workers who used DOS apps, they succeeded to a great extent. (Didn't get the chance to play with any DOS apps myself so I only have this second hand.) I had a few glitches with non-Microsoft utilities: Cookie Crusher insisted on being shut down and then restarted whenever I re-opened Internet Explorer. That's about the worst of it. -- Mark Roberts www.robertstech.com - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List. To unsubscribe, go to http://www.pdml.net and follow the directions.
