I got upgraded from Win95 to Win2k just a couple of months before I left Harris
so I can tell you how things may work.

First of all, expect a *big* hit on speed :(

Stability and reliability improved.

All Microsoft Office apps will work fine.

I expect your DOS aaps will be OK as well but there's no way to be sure without
trying it out. Microsoft tried to make Win2k a lot more DOS-friendly than
earlier versions of NT and according to my co-workers who used DOS apps, they
succeeded to a great extent. (Didn't get the chance to play with any DOS apps
myself so I only have this second hand.)

I had a few glitches with non-Microsoft utilities: Cookie Crusher insisted on
being shut down and then restarted whenever I re-opened Internet Explorer.
That's about the worst of it.
