Hi Frank,
 Sorry to hear about your lens. A CLA should fix it up, most likely the
helicoid grease froze up the aperture blades, or the spring broke.
Is the lens a 3.5 or 3.8? The 3.5`s were early 1990`s, and the 3.8`s
were 1980`s vintage.
