For me,it's the 165/4 LS, not contest. Why? Simply because it allows the use of an umbrella and strobe for fill when shooting outdoor portraits or figures. It will do a head and shoulders portrait without an extension tube. I sometimes use the shortest tube for tightly cropped head shots. In 6x7 format, sharpness isn't really an issue. The 165/4 is certainly sharper than I need for most portrait situations. I frequently shoot through a piece of wedding vail lace when working with women. I haven't done enough work where bokeh is a factor to comment with certainty, but I haven't seen anything I don't like. Paul Stenquist
