NO DINGS OR DENTS FOCUS- SMOOTH AS NEW, INFINITY FOCUS CORRECT, HOLDS FOCUS WHILE ZOOMING ZOOM - SMOOTH AS NEW APERTURE - FULLY FUNCTIONAL, RING CLICK STOPS CLICK INTO PLACE NICELY FILTER THREADS (58MM)- THREADS FINE BUT SOME BLACK PAINT MISSING ON THREADS AND INNER RETAINING RING. PERFORMANCE - TOP NOTCH. This was one of the very first K mount zoom lenses made by Pentax (1975?), Long before they began to compromise their optical and mechanical designs for cost and size reasons. Basically the same design as the also excellent screwmount version but modified for k mounting. One touch zoom & focus ring. Constant F4 aperture throughout the zoom range. Excellent build quality and more importantly, optical quality. USAGE - Ideal all around people lens, can do from small groups thru tight single head shot portraits. $150 takes it or best offer...Will also entertain trades for other early K series lenses.
