Just as a suggestion, look for some HP paper that is marked as photo quality inkjet paper. It's very cheap but I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised by the results using it in an Epson. It gives extremely flat matte results and, for my Epson 1200, some of the best colors (including blacks) I've seen. If you don't like it, you can always use it for word processing tasks.
