I got only about 20 rolls of 36 exposures from my first set of AA batteries in the BG-10 grip. I did not get much more from the MZ-5n and Fg grip. On the other hand, my 24 year old ME is on the 3rd set of batteries and also the winder batteries seem to last for ever. All the best!
