Still... I've had two M 50/4 macro and one of them was a bit "loose". It is a very light lens. The original K-series 50/4 weights a lot more and feels very sturdy (like all K-series lenses). If you compare the weight of "same" K and M lenses, the M 50/4 is the one that benefited the most from going to an M construction (in terms of weight). The price (in yen, from a japanese site) of the K lens was also much higher than the M lens price. The M lens is, of course, a perfect hiking macro ; the K lens with its much longer barrel is an easier to handle studio macro, especially with a ring flash on it. I've never used any 50/4 at infinity, but the 100/4 does perform nicely at infinity. Andre --
