Hi Andrew, It's a long time since this happened to me, back in the Orwo era. It looks like a collision between the first and the colour developer. Most likely there was no washing phase between them. It certainly has nothing to do with the age of the emulsion. Expiration rather affects film speed and may induce an overall cast. Servus, Alin
