what do you mean?
are you talking about *new* cameras? i don't think you can buy that (except
super expensive exports from japan)
are you talking about ebay? i don't think it existed in '79
do you compare prices in constant $ (say, discounted to '79 values) ?

or you are comparing what you could buy new in '79 to what you can buy used
now, and their nominal prices? but that doesn't make much sense -- or am i
missing something?
