What do you mean by "a 300mm lens possibly unzoommable to 100", Flavio? I don't understand what you mean by "unzoommable". I do agree that 70-ish-to-210-ish zooms are not really "long range zooms - zooming to 300mm is a little closer to "long range". I also love the Tokina AT-X 100-300/4 - I think it is the best (and, for me, also has perhaps the most useful range) of all of the fine AT-X manual focus zooms. (I also have the 60-120/2.8, and the 80-200/2.8, and I used to have the 35-70/2.8 and the 150-500/5.6, but I do think the 100-300/4 is the best of the lot.)
