The A* 85/1.4 is indeed a truly exceptional lens.  (It was #1 in my
choices for this poll, followed by the FA* 85/1.4 and the A 100/2.8
Macro.)  As for the size, I have never had any subject mention
anything about it (although, I admit, that doesn't mean that they
might not have been thinking about it - <g>).  And, it is smaller
than is the FA* 85/1.4, even if the glass size is the same.
