The A 50/2.8 Macro is a truly beautiful little lens. It is (sadly) not quite as sharp as are the F or FA 50/2.8's, but the A version is so well made, so compact, and so delightful to focus manually that it is worth having simply for the fun and convenience of taking it "on the road" - <g>. Fred
