This topic is being debated tremendously in legal circles with nothing approaching uncontested or universal agreement on the matter...which is odd considering the two media are viewed in precisely the same way according to so many on this list. Even if you love digital images, at least understand that their authenticity is a source of controversy particularly in academic legal circles, and that therefore people must view them differently...people meaning judges, lawyers, juries, etc. (This is not a value judgment - as in, "digital bad, film good.")
