Pentax doubled the frame spacing from the 645N to the NII model because there was a problem. I've measured out that the bend in the film when the film stays around the first roller end at the margin of the pressure plate at the upper side of the film chamber when the film spacing is in the order of 5mm. Hence, any "memory effect" of the bend in the film turns out as fuzziness at the lower half of the image. However, by doubling the distance, something they've done with the NII, the bulge in the film travels from roller to roller. Hence, no ill effect on the film. It's too bad that Pentax haven't informed their ditributors about this problems as they obviously are aware of it as the modification proves. Now it's only to get my camera adjusted to NII specification. Pl
