Dave; Whenever I want to test a new body or lens I run a roll of Fuji Provia 100F. By it's nature it is a sharp, contrast, fine-grained (some would say grainless...) film which makes it ideal for this sort of test. I'll shoot two or three frames per f-stop/shutter-spped combination in bright natural light of a detailed static subject (large gauge model trains are my favorite), get it developed and look at the slides on a light table with an 8x loupe. BTW which 50/2 are you considering the M or A? I have 2 A's but cannot speak to their sharpness from lack of use... Christian
