For the back, you might wish to use velvet straps which will last much longer.

The foam at the rear door and close to the focusing screen of my MX is getting sticky. I want to try to replace it. Searching the internet, I find different thicknesses are available. Any sugestions what thickness is needed? Next sunday I intend to visit the Fotografic fair in Houten (Holland) and I expect I will be able to buy the foam there. Any suggestions about the procedure to follow to get a good result without spending too much time? (I believe in the 80/20 rule)
