Vic,
I use the hot shoe grip with the AF500FTZ and my 645n.
I have the 5p cord run from the flash to the hot shoe on
the 645n via a Hot Shoe Adapter F and all functions work.
I just ignore the contacts and plugs on the grip, the
adapters take care of the TTL and stuff. All this also
works with my PZ-1p.

If you need more details on how I use it just let me know.

Subject: Flash?s 280t, AF500FTZ, LX, PZ1

Guys I could probably do tests to answer my own questions but I suspect
someone out there can answer them faster than I can do tests.
I picked up AF 280t recently. I plan to use it primarily with the LX but I
will also be using it with the PZ1.

Question #1: Is the only function lost when using the Af 280t on the PZ1 the

ability to focus in the dark (ie red sensor)?

Question #2: If I use the hotshoe grip with 4P sync cord B and the 280t
(plugged into hotshoe of PZ1, will I retain all the TTL functions accept, of

course, the autofocus in dim light (ie red sensor.)

Question #3: Can I use the hotshoe grip for the Af280t with the AF500FTZ on
the PZ1 to get the flash off camera. I realize that I would lose the
autofocus in dim light.

Question #4: what happens if you use the AF500FTZ on the LX. Will it just
not
work or do you risk damaging the electronics in the camera or flash.

Thanks Vic
