Many thanks, James :) I've come across an OM-1n with a strange engraving on the prism housing (looks like a professional job) that could be taken for Japanese ideograms (or whatever they're called - apologies to those who know and might feel offended by my ignorance, hope there aren't any, er... um, offended that is :) and I thought it might be Maitani's signature, but I guess it isn't.
