>From Brendan H: Ok im back from the New York photo show, and heres my findings: The pentax DSLR is real, it will be on show at PMA in the spring (certified specs just before expected to be released) UN CERTIFIED specs are as follows: -1.5X magnification ratio -6MP chip size (may be Flovon acording to hints from the Flovon rep!!!) but pentax gave no hints on chip manifacture -Body is a modifyed MZ-S pre-production body appears to be slightly smaller than the MZ-S in horzontal size but may have been a optical oulsion (a rep said he held a mock up frame) -Production should be finilized by PMA so hitting the shelves maby right after -The body will be of simular shape to a MZ-S with a battery grip on the bottom, but no conformation on a vertical shutter (bad move in no one is their!!!my 2cents) -Price is $1600-1700 -Lenses were un confermed in exact specs, but they will be of a wide angle type Please note all specs here are un-official and should not be considered fact yet. some was stated by the reps, others where "implied" (is it? "i cant conferm that" (that kind of stuff)) No names are given for the reps for info as is to not get anyone in trouble. Well all this is all i could sweat out of all the reps their. For all of us Pentax users please pray for this to happen We need the support of our Co. (film fans, i love it too, but digital is just faster/cheeper for some things and its time for pentax) Brendan H
