Hmm..
I think the Delta 3200 pushed to 6400 comes out decent at times - I should
try it again as low light/high grain is sometimes appealing - especially for
things like street photography.

Now I can't remember using the Tmax developer with the Delta 3200 - I think
I may have used Microphen instead - I don't think I had discovered Perceptol
at that point. I usually refer back to the Ilford website for their
documentation - which I feel is easier to read and digest than the kodak
site.

I think if you used Tmax 3200 and pushed it to 6400 (or even 12800) and used
the Tmax developer you would get good results but I know that if I was using
Delta 3200, I'd want to use one of the Ilford powders to get the finest
grain possible :)

Cheers,
Dave

Thanks David.(Feed me)
So far, in class, we/I have used only the school provided Tmax 1:4,
on one roll of Tmax 100,one sacrafical roll of Delta 100 and
latest, delta 3200 pushed to 6400.(best work so farIMHO)
As i have nothing to compare to,other than a dozen rolls of lab
developed neg's,my findings are inconclusive.BUT what i have seen
from the Tmax deveLoper with the above mantion fiLms looks nice to
me.Instructor realy liked the 3200 pushed.
I hope to scan the neg an put on photo.net tonight.

Please keep the advice coming.I want to learn this.

Ahhhh...

I've used Tmax developer on a few films..
Ilford HP5+
Delta 100
Plus X Pan
Tmax 100
Delta 400

Did I like it on any of them ?
Only on the Tmax
I'm going to play a bit (I've got a bunch of Xtol powder waiting)
soon and
hopefully try out some new developers and see what happens on
the "Frank
Standard" of HP5 :) (now becoming my favourite film)

Cheers,
Dave

I use a variety of developers, although most are Kodak. But I don't
try
to match film to developer in terms of manufacture. For example, I've
had great success developing Ilford 3200 in both Kodak T-Max and
Kodak
D-76. In general, D-76, in both straight up form and 1:1 dilution,
is my
favorite developer for most BW films. There is an Ilford developer
that
is virtually identical.
