It's always dicey using metal tools around plastic parts. I remember being very careful changing screens on my MX. However, last month I was looking through the viewfinder on my MZ-S and noticed some dust. I removed the lens and was able to release the screen frame with a fingernail.
Then I carefully lifted out the screen, blew the dust off, and re-installed it, all without tools. I was pleased with both myself and the MZ-S design. I'm 5-10/180cm, with medium sized hands, in case someone thought I was a munchkin. Pat White
