I think the 24-90 will beat the pants off the others optically (in terms
of distortion, sharpness, contrast, flare resistance etc).  Of course
the tokina has a much wider aperture and is built like a tank, but then
again it is big and weighs as much as a tank.  I don't think the tamron
is in the same game.
