<< Do you use lenshoods on your 50mm lenses? >> Yes, metal screw in hoods... for protection as much as anything else. Dropped a Super Program on a sidewalk in Washington, DC once. It landed face down on the metal hood, destroying the hood. The A50/1.4 and Super Program were just fine!
