Best to check around for a local lab. Even pro labs aren't that expensive for slides. My local lab does E-6 and 2-3 hours and $7 later, I have 36 mounted slides in a box.
Everywhere I have lived, I have found some labs that do E-6 and all have been reasonably priced. Just don't use someone that sends it out. They will send it to the lab you would have taken it to and charge you something extra for their trouble.
