The Astronomy Picture of the Day for today features a very unusual star
trails photograph by LeRoy Zimmerman.  Since it was taken right on the
equator, using a wide angle lens, one can see the stars circling the
North Celestial pole on the left side, the equatorial stars leaving
stgraight trails in the center, and the stars circling thre South
Celestial Pole on the right side of the panoramic photograph.  I thought
it quite unusual and intriguing.  Here's the link:
