Try this for size: I'm keen on doing it as cheaply as possible, too. So what about a Ryanair hop from Oslo to London, then a London to GFM? That last bit is bound to be cheaper: The one phone call I did make already (to Continental Airlines) quoted 651 USD return from Gatwick to Charlotte via Newark. I'm sure I can slash that by at least a third with some bargain-hunting and Bob W's experience....
