Hmm, I tend to use primes because of the greater aperture and their usually better quality. And therefore I have film with 200 ASA or less in the bodies. The last time I used it was in a crowd on a street-festivity and I was prepared with a 400-film while the sun was sihining, so I had no problem to get short speeds. Otherwise 1:4.5 is not too much but once I had a Tokina 35-300 and 6.7 at the long end weren't useful any more (I sold it). What can I say: I like the perfect feeling of the lens and the picture quality that does not make me think about any weakness at the ends. But it is quite long so I support it with my fingers at the front end. I like to focus and zoom with one ring without having to change because it's quicker. And at 200mm the ring goes towards the body so the balance-point is more usable then. I stay with it. I will consider to put some more pictures on the net. I let you know.

I can't tell if it's because of the subject, the lens, or the weather, but I find them quite appealing. :-) Since you have good experience with this lens, perhaps you could list some of its strengths and weaknesses?
