The question is, can I figure out a way to pair my NeXT 21" monitor to the
Mac SE 30 or whatever it is I have collecting dust in my closet... (it was
meant to be a fish tank, once)

I've always said that the Apple hardware was infinitly better than
anything in the x86 world.. In my case, as I said, I'm tired of futzing
with Windows, and I'm really tired of putting out effort to make something
work in a unix when I'm not getting paid for it.

PCs are mind numbingly easy to build if you care enough, and the Dells of
the world are happily giving us $500 computers with more than enough snot
to do anything but appeal to the egofreaks who need top end.

Its quite alright.

I've actually bought a collection of used workstations, which tend to
start their lives as tremendously expensive and end up cheap.

Thinking of the list, there's two Sun Sparc IPXes, two Sun Sparc 10s, one
DEC AlphaStation 4/233, and the NeXT Turbocolour.
