Hi,
Recently I was took some photos in Vermont, it was medium windy when I took the photos.
"Landscape photos.."
I shot, moutain tops with Pentax FA 100/2.8 Macro. The trees are not as sharp as I expected.
I think the reason could be, the wind on the mountain(I am sure of it because I was shooting from the bottom).
My question is, what should be the minimum shutter speed to get clear shots in medium winds conditions.(1/30 sec, 1/60 sec..)
You may say, I should wait till the wind stops and shoot. but, since I will be standing at the ground, I can never know
whether its windy at the mountain top.
I used Slik700DX tripod for my shooting along with MZ-5n.
I used very slow film(Velvia) with polarizer, so most of the times I was shooting at 1sec shutter speed.
"Tree branches.."
I took the photos of the tree branches in windy condition,I had to shoot at low shutter speed and again photos are not sharp.
I could have avoided this by waiting till the wind slow down; some times it could be a long wait.
To solve these problem, I am not sure whether to use high speed film like Kodak E200, so that I can shoot at high shutter speed.
If I use E200, I may not be getting the colors of velvia.
So please let me know the minimum shutter speed to get clear shots in medium winds conditions.
Is it a shutter speed a factor at all?
Thanks in advance
Ramesh
