Well, FWIW, I have a much easier time with the Needles in my MX than I do with the "conventional" take-up spool in my Spots. I haven't really used anything more modern than an MX, so my experience is limited, but my favourite loading system by far is the on on my old (now stolen) Prakticas - never a mis-load with them.
