I am on my second 77 Limited. The older one developed marks on the coating on the inside of the two rear elements. It turned out that they were colliding when focused at infinity. I didn't notice anything until wear on the elements started to show up. It was almost two years old when I sent it to Pentax. They promptly gave me a brand new one which is a significantly better performer at wide apertures compared to my older lens. It's truly hard to see how my current 77 Limited could be improved upon.
