>and if so was there a notable problem? Yes. I bought a 1.4x as the seller listed a broad range of compatibility and even though I knew he was wrong I had to try it. (He took it back with no problem.) The front optic on the 1.4x protrudes quite a bit and would work on only those lenses with a rear element recessed fairly deeply. I would believe the Pentax specs here. They are not just being conservative.
