The recursor can't be built from the authoritative snapshots. The snapshots you are trying are of the 'authoritative' server, the recursive server has its own releases. > Cannot compile the recursor for some reason. Says it is missing mplexer.hh If you really want to build the recursor from the head of subversion, check out the HEAD (instructions on http://wiki.powerdns.com) and run ./dist-recursor in the pdns/pdns directory. This will generate a recursor directory which you can build, and a tar.gz which can be distributed. The recursor was split off a year ago, but since then no separate authoritative releases have been made, so what you see is indeed new.
