This is probably a bit far-fetched, but a combination of a view (which
PowerDNS will accept without a problem) and an SQL function which hashes
your domain name column into a number might solve the problem.
(Disclaimer: I'm feeling a bit under the weather so this may be hyped
out, overkill, and just plain bozo; can't think of anything simpler.)
