Trusty is Ubuntu 14.04 and this version is out of support since nearly two
years. Only ESM is active until April 2022.
If there is only pdns on this server, upgrading to 16.04/18.04/20.04 is no big
deal in my opinion. If there are other dependencies, it can get difficult.

Best regards,
Markus

I’ve noticed that trusty has been dropped from the repo.powerdns.com and my

Actually, Ubuntu Trusty (16.04) goes end-of-life in approximately two months
time, in April 2021, unless you pay Canonical for extended security
maintenance. This would be a good time to upgrade.
