I'm in Seaside, OR today.
Regrettably, haven't done much with pcHDTV hd3000.
Pessimistically, we'll have to use what Daniel has achieved.
Previous attempts to get others to participate have gone unanswered.
I don't see anything worth burning to a bootable CD wrt pchdtv.

Title: Re: [PDXLUG] Custom CD ( or DVD ) for
OSCON?
Heading to the Oregon coast today.
Will respond if possible at a stop where wi-fi is
available.
Speaking of which, where are we on the demo? Is
it really going to happen?
Since I am in Houston for the month of July I left my HDTV card with
Rodney Mishima so that he, or some other member of the group could
work with it. He has the card, some coax, a small directional
antenna, and a giant Viewsonic GS 815 that I loaned him. I got
the HDTV card working with my primary desktop using a clean hard
drive. So that is a backup system if we need it, but it is only
a 1800 p4, and it craps out sometimes because it is underpowered.
I was only trying it with a 1280x1024 monitor so maybe if we use the
GS 815 it will work fine because it doesn't have to scale the image.
Rodney has an AMD 64 bit system that he volunteered early on in the
project that should have plenty of power. I don't know what he
has done with it, or if he has tested out the GS 815. The
monitor should work, but the picture quality might be marginal.
I think it has a focus problem, or something. According to specs
I found online is should be able to handle the highest HDTV
resolutions at 80 Hrz.
If anyone is interested in working on it contact Rodney. I might
be able to provide some help, but since I have been in Houston I
haven't had internet long enough to even check my email more than once
every few days. I will be back in town late on the 1st so if we
need my backup solution I can get everything together then.
