# If you picked a slow night and talked with the owner, Chuck, before
# hand, I bet he'd let you commandeer the half of the place with power
# outlets like we do every Sunday night. I could add a MAC to our
# wireless there. A switch, some power strips, a laptop with a couple
# wifi cards and a NIC to NAT for everyone, and you've got a hack
# night... Complete with pizza, salads, pasta, and even beer...

IMHO this sounds good in theory, but it's not what I had in mind.
It's not conducive to a larger-than-expected crowd, a long stay
sitting in one spot, or just generally having control over the
situation. Do you see what I mean? The ideas of having it at
someone's house or a pre-planned, reserved room somewhere have this
particular advantage. What I'm shooting for is what I described in
detail in my original post.
