Thanks for all the feedback. Ended up getting a 512MB stick from MemoryTime over on SW Macadam Ave in Johns Landing. While there I asked them about the voltage thing and they said it is standardized on 3.3V . BTW, these guys appear to be competitive price-wise with most other online sellers, at least for certain sizes, and they install it for free - a nice service that ought to prevent squabbling if the RAM croaks within the 10 day guarantee period.
