[PDXLUG] Linux Firewalls

 I have a home network set up with a Linksys router and a Gigabit swtich and was curious if it is possible or even feasible to install a Linux Firewall between my DSL modem and the Linksys router. I am currently running Fedora Core 5 for my Linux box and would like to know where to gain informaiton on setting it as a firewall for my network, or is there a better solution?
