Updating the kernel? Well, I am a total linux noob. You recommend upgrading the kernel?

if it's compariable with the orinoco_cs drivers why are you using atmel drivers? have you thought about using a 2.6 kernel and using the drivers provided in the kernel for your card? Menion has pretty high opinions of them last i heard.
