We all had fun. (At least I had fun, and that is what matters.) The Fireside Coffee lodge is very friendly. This meeting offered some excitement. Armed only with sheer noise level and drink purchases we contended with the ultra-liberal political campaign planners. We seemed to win hands down in both arenas.

The meeting in earnest started early, with verbal abuse over such topics as Java, Perl and Python. Later, we slighted each other to the tune of Gentoo, Debian, and other assorted distros. I can't really remember the middle or the end.

One user brought in his home machine, hoping for some troubleshooting help. Alas the fine owner of the establishment would not permit us to use one of the "heads" [keyboard, monitor & mouse]. Henceforth, perhaps someone has a flat panel that they wish to tote about? I certainly don't own even one, let alone many to allow for toting.

I'll refrain from pointing out details like the unexplained absence of Robby, nor the now normal lack of Matt. Nihilist was out leaving his teens behind. Shiruken was notably absent, especially on the eve of discovering the mighty, mighty, Linus was coming to town. We all secretly hope that Ken will campaign for "Him" to make a cameo at the very least, since an announced presence would certainly cause an impromptu Linux Conference.

  A few confirmed attendees were:

IRC Users:
  Menion
  PacoPablo
  Grishnav
  PopTop

Real People:
  Dillon
  Kevin
  Tobias
  Chris

Finally, everyone not named who made it was no less welcome, and those who did not make it was mostly missed, except for Cliff. The Chai smoothly is exceptional.

Sincerely, Joshua
