Thats the problem..it doesn't show up for her on her desktop anymore.
I'll tell her to seek out a friend with osx knowledge to help with that.

If it's an eMac it's going to be HFS or HFS+...it's the default format for any Mac OS drive, especially newer Macs like the eMac. There's no real reason to have go through all the trouble to find out, it's 99.9% positive it will be either HFS or HFS+ (with my money on HFS+).
