Yello, I'm a competent ruby programmer but I know I could be a lot better. I've been wanting to get to the point where anything I can do in perl I can also do in Ruby, and hopefully faster :)
A while ago I read an interesting article[1] by Mike Clark where he talks about writing tests to describe his knowledge of Ruby. Read the article for more, it'll make more sense there :) For me, I learn best when I have Exercises to perform. So, the plan: go through the Ruby Quizzes[2] and do 'em. I thought others might be interested in this project, hence this email. I'll be setting up a subversion repository and trac instance for my stuff soon. If anyone would like to join me, I'd be happy to set up a branch and give access to the repository. Hell, if enough people are interested maybe we could use the pdxruby repo! So. Who's in?
