A stellar idea. I'm in! In fact I'll pick up a RailsConf ticket
*only* once there's a bus/train/covered wagon from Portland.

P.S. I vote for picking a few choice sites/saloons to see en route
and avoiding as much Interstate roadage as is reasonable. It's such a
beautiful drive...
