Monday-Tuesday July 24-25 are perfect for OSCAMP, and as for space, I think rooms E141 & E142 combined into a single room of just over 2000 square feet with chairs arranged around the outside will perform swimmingly. I appreciate O'Reilly's generosity with space and time ... OSCON/OSCAMP is gonna whup!
I'm ccing the pdx.rb folks because they are the right ones to chat with about the FOSCON party. We discussed it a bit at last night's meeting, and it wasn't entirely clear to me what the format/venue etc is for FOSCON. I know that pdx.rb wants the FOSCON party to rock again this year and I get the impression that the OSCON organizers are keen on ensuring that OSCON remains the focal point of the week.
John Labovitz has taken point in organizing FOSCON thus far. Perhaps you and he could lay out the respective interests so that we can keep them in mind as we come up with the most mutually satisfying OSCON/FOSCON fusion?
